Republication of the Open letter to the members of the Democratic Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, June 1974

In the present, the Left has been completely marginalized in both Israel and Palestine, so the historical leftist perspective regarding the conflict is moot. The contemporary western Left appears to have given up on the prospect of class struggle in the region, seemingly content to tail the Palestinian resistance regardless of its ideological character. However, we believe it is important to keep the memory of that prospect alive. This is because we think it is still the case that true emancipation in the region can only be the result of class struggle by the workers of all the nationalities who live there.
